It was an exciting day in sport today with England regaining The Ashes title in cricket, Federer beating Andy Murray to win another title while one of the Williams sisters lost to Dimentieva in the final, and Inter Milan(the Serie A champions for the last 3 - 4 seasons) could only scrape a draw against newly promoted side Bari through an Eto’o penalty. Then there were the traditional Sunday footbal matches from England.
Chelsea 2 - 0 Fulham
This was the first match that Chelsea actually looked strong in unlike their last two matches, but it will flitter out like it always does.
Tottenham Hotspur 2 - 1
Another London derby and another victory for Spurs who look like they might be the ones to invade the Top Four this year, but at who’s peril?
Burnley 1 - 0 Everton
Burnley are a team to look out for this season having beaten Manchester United and Everton already and only losing to Stoke through deflections. I believe they will do what Reading did a few seasons ago after being promoted and reach the top half of the table, maybe not 6th like Reading, but definitely up there. This is the team to watch because it is a well supported club, it has a brilliant goalkeeper and strike force, it is out for revenge of being relegated 33 years ago, and I’d be very, very surprised if they went back down this season.
